Smoking Popes in Houston

February 26th, 2006 · 1 Comment

Tonight at Walter’s, Chicago’s Smoking Popes bring their reunion tour to town. This should be a great show. More information can be found at the Super Unison website.

This week’s Houston Press has a write-up about Super Unison’s Ryan Chavez, who plays drums for the Popes on the current tour. How cool is that? Read it here.

Also, you can read my article and interview with Smoking Popes’ Josh Caterer in this month’s Envy magazine. You can find copies at most places around the downtown and mid-town areas.

Visit the Smoking Popes website here.

Now Playing: …the ringing in my ears…
(Last night, we went to see Sigur Ros, then to Rudyard’s, then to The Proletariat — a precursor to SXSW, I guess.)

Wish I could have gone to the Yoria/Castillo show. Anyone see Undertow Orchestra at Walter’s on Washington?
