Ness in-studio video, The Webb Brothers news

December 13th, 2005 · No Comments

Chicago’s Ness is one of my favorite bands. Yeah, I know — you haven’t heard of them. But you may have heard of some of the bands that the members used to be in (or still are, in some cases), particularly Fig Dish (Rick Ness, Bill Swartz) and Hushdrops (John San Juan). Rick Ness has also played on several albums, including The Webb Brothers‘ last release. You should buy Ness’ debut CD, Up Late With People right this second. Seriously.

I recently got my grubby hands on a DVD of Ness’ electronic press kit, which you can view on the band’s website. For those with new iPods, it’s formatted for you. Enjoy.

In The Webb Brothers news, the now-L.A.-based band signed a new UK record deal (with Fume) and their new single (“The Flood”) is out in the UK. You can download it in various locations (legally, that is), and buy it from the Rough Trade record shop.

Also, am I the only one who wants one of these? GarageBand, here I come…
