I just found out that local bassist extraordinaire Rozz Zamorano will be playing a solo bass performance this Thursday night (12.1.05) at the Engine Room, opening for Drop Trio and Jacob Fred Jazz Odyssey.

Engine Room is located downtown at 1515 Pease near the Toyota Center. Rozz will be playing a thirty minute set of acoustic bass starting at 8:45 p.m. Be sure to get there early to check out Rozz’s chops. There’s a reason he’s continually nominated for best bassist in Houston in the Houston Press Music Awards. Those that have seen him with local funk-rock act Fondue Monks know his talent.

This will undoubtedly be a great night of music. You’d be crazy to miss it.

Rozz has a new solo CD coming out very soon. His first solo effort, Eudamonia, is available online or at local record stores.
