Houston’s own Southern Backtones will be featured tonight on woxy.com‘s Unsigned@WOXY.com program. Unsigned@WOXY.com is a worldwide unsigned band showcase that airs on Thursdays at 8:00 p.m. CST. It is a 60-minute program and is repeated on Saturdays at 5:00 p.m. CST.

In other Backtones news:

The band is currently at Sugarhill Studios recording five new songs to add to the self-titled CD released last December (**Remember that it was one of my best-of 2004 Houston releases). The new full-length record will be released in January 2006.

The new tracks are: “Dirty” / “Another Moment” / “Glamorous” / “My Hell” / “Make-Up”

Also, the Backtones are also looking for a new bassist now that Mykel Foster departed the band after 7 or so years. They are looking for a professional bassist who can tour. If you think you can fill Foster’s boots, drop Hank a line.
