Dreamfest 2 this weekend — tons of local bands for cheap!

May 24th, 2005 · No Comments

Local act Strangelight has again organized what is one of Houston’s best chances to catch local bands and help a good cause — Dreamfest 2.

Dreamfest 2 is this Saturday (May 28th, 2005). Bands will be playing at three clubs on Washington Ave. — The Rhythm Room (1815 Washington Ave., near downtown), Mary Jane’s Fat Cat (4216 Washington Ave., between Shepherd and Waugh), and Walter’s (4215 Washington Ave., across from Mary Jane’s). Bands begin at 4 p.m. and go until 2 a.m.

The shows benefits the Susan G. Komen Foundation – Houston Affiliate,
as well as helps to promote Early Breast Cancer Detection (in the memory of Betsy Smith). Cover is only $8.

This is a great chance to see a lot of great local acts at one time — you’ve been hearing about these bands, now come out and see what you’ve been missing. Hope to see you there. At $8, you really have no excuse.
