Advance warning: Austin’s What Made Milwaukee Famous, a band whose 2004 CD made my best of the year list, is coming to Houston! They will be at Rudyard’s on April 29th. See you there. Check back soon for an interview with the band.

Also, Caribou (formerly Manitoba) is coming to Fat Cat’s on May 12th. This is a must-see show. Seriously.

One last thing (and I am sorry to hear this): The Oots, a band I felt had a very promising future in the Houston music scene, is playing their last show on April 20th at The Proletariat (shows what I know). Cover is only $3. I’ll Be The Hynea, Aunt Beast, and Siva (an El Paso band that just got off tour w/ Sparta) are also on the bill.
