Sound Theory is (unfortunately, in my opinion) on hiatus for a while, but lead guitarist/vocalist Seans Evans is now involved with another band called Sitka Sound. Other members include Larry Horn (from Casino on guitar & vocals), Rod Hodges (from Spain Colored Orange and Blueprint on drums) and Steve Aikey (bass and backing vocals).

These popsters are influenced by much modern bands as Flaming Lips, Wilco, Centro-matic, Grandaddy, Neutral Milk Hotel, Spoon, Beck, and Dinosaur Jr. The band does not have a website that I know of, but there are two tracks posted on MySpace.com [website].

Sitka Sound plays tonight at The Proletariat with SNMNMNM (from Chapel Hill, NC) [website], Browningham (from Ft. Worth), and Houston’s Broman.

Tomorrow night (Thursday, 2.24.05), Arthur Yoria (and band) will play at Rhythm Room. Cover is only $5 so come out and make a night of it.
