I (don’t) want my MTV

April 29th, 2003 · No Comments

I finally got digital cable yesterday so I now have MTV2, which I have been wanting to watch for a long time. Unfortunately, the first video I saw was something by Sum 41. After checking out their playlist, I am not that impressed. I guess only time will tell.

I know that Headbanger’s Ball is going to start on May 10th (with Metallica playing host) and that they are showing a more commercial version of 120 Minutes, a show which turned me on to a lot of great bands in the 80s. Anyway, I changed the station and proceeded to watch my wife play Splinter Cell on our Xbox.

This morning, after finding out it rained, the world isn’t ending, and that I wouldn’t be stuck in a traffic jam, I saw an old Devo video (not bad) and “Enter Sandman” by Metallica. That I can stand. Sum 41, not so much.

I will probably post more about MTV2 in the future after I have had more time to check it out.

I’ve seen the future. I still like my 20GB version, so there.
